Residential Furniture Project

Location: Oakleigh South, Victoria

Project: Our client had recently built and plastered a fireplace. They wanted this fireplace to become the centerpiece of their room by enhancing its basic finish. They approached Limestone Artisan because of their known artistic flair and ability to transform any surface into an elegantly handcrafted work of art. 

Our team gave the client a catalogue filled with sample finishes and colouring chats. Given that Venetian Plastering is such a new technique in the Australian market, it was important to build trust and rapport with the client by supplying them with a robust and tangible sample board. This sample is a replica of the final surface finish that will be applied to the fireplace and allows the client to touch and feel the end product. Once the sample board had been approved, our team scanned the board to create a 3D visualisation. This 3D model ensures all clients are happy with their design. In the case of this project, the client discovered that the Venetian plaster finish was too dark in colour. Through clear communication and the aid of a 3D model, we were able to agree on a bespoke colour and adjusted the design to achieve the client’s vision. 

Outcome: The Venetian plaster was applied to the fireplace by hand, and the client was extremely pleased with the design outcome and the fireplace totally transformed their room.
